I play a lot of bad video games. Titles that are renowned for being the worst of their genre, worst on their platform, and just plain the worst ever. I think that everyone should be playing more bad games though. Here is why:

That's a very interesting point - I might take you up on this challenge :)
Playing bad games on purpose can really change your views up on video games in general.
Good point. Too many games are focused too much on graphics and not enough on fun gameplay.
I find it hard to replay ff7 / xenogears with their graphics though.. lol
I have to agree I have played many games on many platforms that people say are rubbish.
At the end of the day we are all different and like different things.
I'm a game developer myself, and I play "bad" games all the time, but like @greengroove said, the term "bad" is very relative.
Every game, no matter the quality, takes tons of hard work and careful planning. Every one of them is a gem in its own way.
I feel it's about understanding and not taking games or anything taken for granted. That is the acceptance you/we need to have to understand and cherish good/bad games.
Welcome to the Steemit community, man. Your YouTube channel is right up my street. Looking forward to loads more from you.
Steem on, my brother!
Looking forward to being here for a while and getting to know the community more. :)
Short and very sweeeeet! Thanks for sharing, I really like your open mind. Namaste :)
Thank you for watching! :D
I do this already and get annoyed with all the people who just follow what the reviewers write.
Following a reviewers word as your own opinion can cause massive issues with the enjoyment of video games. It's a big problem we have going on in the gaming community.
Congratulations @rerez!
Your post was mentioned in my hit parade in the following category:
The worst game must still be created :)
Welcome to Steemit. I think you will like it here. We've got a great community here and you really can make money. Bring your fans over and they can benefit too. Good luck
Having fun getting to know folks here!
Nice to see you on Steemit. I have been saying for some time we need more games content on here!
Well I hope to be able to provide it. :)
I found you after introduction by @andrarchy. It is great to have you here :)
Followed you! :)
Thank you!
So refreshing to have you on steemit.
I'd never thought of it like that, before! I can't speak intelligently about recent bad games, but when I owned an Atari 2600 in the '80s [Jeez! Tell us about woolly mammoths too, grandpa!], many of those games were bad -- especially in hindsight -- b/c the computing power was so limited, then. Clearly, you've experienced some of that if you've played ET on that console. Arguably, you could say that about any of the home versions of arcade games back then; e.g. the A2600 Pac-Man vs the arcade version. Hardly recognizable. But we did have fun with some of those games b/c that's all we had! Let me give this some thought, and think of some other examples to discuss. Full Steem ahead!
Did you ever play Pit Stop 2 on Atari? It was my favorite game in the early 80s... not sure if it was "good" or "bad", but I had a lot of fun with it
Well thanks!
Welcome to steemit @rerez!! I'm also looking forward your posts! :)
Followed. I've been a game designer for around 15 years and I'm planning to upload similar posts. Feel free to follow back!
The video is nice and you have a point. But I personally don't feel the need to go play a "bad" video game just to prove someone wrong. After all these things are subjective and what is considered as good to someone may very well be boring or "bad" to someone else. Then again I never was a big gamer... Even the most creative game is in the end just a game.
Exactly. I have had the opportunity to play lots of "weird" games in my life and most of them became so addictive that I can tell everyone they are worth it. Now, I never play ET but everyone knows it had to rush through producción to hit xmast sales so if it has to be worst... Let it be...
Until here I find dear Marcos! You are everywhere and I did not know you were a gammer. I do not want your wife to leave you my friend, please this addiction has to decrease, haha. Big hug!
I used to be... In a previous life... I actually got involve with the old PlayStation team at Liverpool, England.
Trust me I have seem very weird things... I shall just mention one: there is a videogame out here hidden in between the shelves where we are taking the role of a dog and we see and feel everything as dogs do... A very colourful experience...
... now I just go to the beach if I need some action! A much fullfiling life, let me tell you kids...

Very interesting point of view!
interesting point for sure!

Very intresting point. I like have you made a video about ET. Lol never thought ET was a bad game but for sure a bad video game when it comes to the story line.
When you said bad. I thought for sure this was going to be about GTA or some shoot them up kill them. Not just about the story or graphics.
Liked the min and a half post.
Interesting!
Great post!
I will follow you!
Steem on!
The reason to read reviews is to avoid bad games. Time is too much of a commodity to waste.
You are a creative person, help me to be like you, that I really like your post and I will follow you please help my follow me back.thanks
Great post, and a good argument as to the worst game argument.
Please consider supporting me..

I use to love the old games, especially space invaders, track and field, frogger to name a couple, yep I'm of that age I wouldn't know where to start now
Awesome video. Our reliance on fancy schmancy rating systems kills our own ability to discover games we can appreciate.
