I have been practicing transcendental meditation since 2006. The best part of doing it is it not bounded by strict rules. You don't need to sit in any certain way, other than upright and comfortably. You don't have to clear your minds of thought. Thought are the part of this meditation practice.You don't need to change your belief or lifestyles.You don't have to be vegeterian or stop having drinks.Just be yourself. All the stress is neutralized and I feel very peace inside. I am not saying you just have to do this or that meditation.Just for couple of minutes in a day, sit in a comfortable position you prefer, be silent and feel the natural aura of the mother nature.
