10 Nutrients Men need more of in their diet

in #life7 years ago (edited)

A year ago, I wrapped up my research for my diet chart.
I started finding nutrients that guys are likely to be deficient in, nutrients that boost
testosterone or lower cortisol and estrogen.

Here are the 10 nutrients men need more of in their diet, and what I began taking via vitamin form:

Selenium: Linked to improved sperm count and increased testosterone levels. ($15/bottle)

Zinc: Blocks aromatase, which is the precursor to estrogen. Deficient nutrient in most men’s diet. Also highly linked to increased testosterone levels. ($19/bottle)

Vitamin A: Active in the Testes, when there’s no Vitamin A, estrogen synthesis skyrockets. ($12/bottle)

B Complex: Deficiency results in increased estrogen levels in men, decreased testosterone levels. ($22/bottle)

D3: Free’s testosterone that’s bound to a protein, enabling your body to have more free testosterone. ($28/bottle)

Vitamin C: A potent antioxidant that blocks cortisol secretion and oxidative damage. ($17/bottle)

Calcium: Stimulates testosterone synthesis, increases testosterone levels post-exercise. ($10 bottle)

Magnesium: Linked to higher serum testosterone levels in older men. ($29 bottle)

Make sure you are getting enough of the vitamins and minerals above.

Sort:

Antioxidants (like the grapeseed extract) can be fairly important for sperm production as well.
