Today could have been a sad day

Hello fellow steemers,

I have been working for one year in a tech giant (6 month as an Intern & 6 months as a Temp) and after a final set of interviews, I was told that my profile was not the ideal one for the position. Despite the fact of having prepared these interviews and been working in positions that might be even more challenging than the one I was applying to and the fact that my superiors did like my job, it looks like my future is not in this company... Working for this company was my goal getting out of school and I appreciated the first year spent there and contributing to the growth of it.

Today could have been a sad day. I was expecting it to be with such an outcome. It should have.

Though, I do not feel it is tonight.

I have learnt a lot during this year, both personally and professionally. The outcome does not change a bit of what happened for 12 months. I probably have learnt during this time more than I could expect in another company.

These skills will be very helpful in my future, probably as an independent and most probably in digital. I will probably keep on writing here even if only a few people read my posts because it feels good to contribute to other in a significant way. This is what I want my life to be: meaningful for me by being meaningful for other people, bringing positive in the world that surrounds me. Don't let negative things of your daily routine avoid you from doing what really means something for you, either it's bringing information, support, pictures... We all can contribute in our way.

Thank you for reading :)
