This post reminded me very much of a scenario I used to have back in high school, we each form a group of around 5 but only 1 person needed to present.
The teacher which was ofcourse very kind keep stressing on the importance of presenting, telling us that if you don't do it now, you are gonna have to do it in your tertiary education and in your life anyway. None of my group mates were gonna do it, so I did it.
It went better than expected, I mean the assignment was not too "presentation oriented" so I just had to wing it and kinda fill my way through. The best thing was that the teacher praised me for it and some of my class mates said I did a good job. It was the best feeling ever, but it lasted very briefly before more things took over but that's story for another time.
That is a cool story. You were brave! It does feel good to overcome fear and come out better on the other side.
