Some Interesting Facts About Earths Water
As we all know, access to clean drinking water is not at all guaranteed in our world. In Tanzania for example, 10% of their total population is believed to spend at least 5% of their income on water that may be consumed. Worldwide it is estimated that 600 million people still drink for water supplies that are believed to be non-contaminated. While there have been many improvements to the quality of the worlds supply of safe drinking water, as many as 2.6 billion beneficiaries sine 1990, we are long from being safe from the risks of contaminated water. In my opinion, even in all of the many developed countries with abundant water supplies, much more attention should be focused to ensuring that water is tested to check for any unwanted presences of foreign materials. Has everyone heard that saying "you are that you eat?" Yes we all have. I will leave that to my friend @mrchef111 to be the food expert. I myself personally believe that we definitely are what we drink though. Go spend a few dollars on water testing strips at your local hardware store. Know your regions tendencies if you have a well that draws from a water table because test results may be expected to vary, and the tests are not biased to your region. As with anything in our world, there is much much more to learn about water. If a crisis were to occur, running rain or river water manually through a reverse osmosis system would keep your family alive (friendly tip for all you survivalists out there). This topic alone has much that can be written about. Make your water safe. With all that in mind, I have installed a nice water filtration system which I will now share below..The Importance
I believe water should contain no foreign materials. Even if the water contains even the slightest bit of controversial materials, I do not want to take the chance. Some say that water from city treatment plants tastes terrible(I live in the country so I'm biased) and is not good, while others say that fluoride in the water is to enhance the mind control propaganda tactics. While there may be truths and/or facts to be credited to some researchers works, I do not believe that my life can be impacted as much by the negative information in these discoveries as much as I believe that it is everyone's responsibility to ensure that they are doing the best that they can for themselves and those who depend on them. Give them clean water. Friends don't let friends have less than par quality water! Actually, I want mine to be superb. Water is and always has been the most coveted and sought after resource. In Arabia in modern and present times, much of, if not all of life would depend on the local well. Humans cannot exist without water, and unclean water is most certainly detrimental to life. It is just not as bad as having no water. Think about it... 90% of our human body weight is water weight, and I cannot presume that animals are far behind. We need it. Actually healthy adults should consume 2 liters per 24 hour. So what does that tell you about how well you should monitor your supply if we are that dependent on it?
What I Have Done To Upgrade My Water
For roughly $150.00 and an hour of your installation time, you too can install a reverse osmosis water filtration system onto your water supply. It even comes with a cool faucet and a 2.5 gallon holding tank(pictured above). No electrical wiring is required, as it operates off of water pressure. Just make sure that if you are installing one, to turn your water supply off to your house first or wear a life preserver. The shut-off valve is usually found in a utility room or in the basement. The only ongoing maintenance required is changing your filters roughly every year. There are 3 filters included with the GE Reverse Osmosis model I am enjoying right now. 2 filters are the vertical 2 that you see on the above picture, and the horizontal one is actually the reverse osmosis membrane filter itself. To most people this does not apply but it is fair to day...If your house water pressure is over 125 pounds per square inch, you'll need to add a pressure release valve. They are easy to install or your plumber friend will hook you up for a low price. If your pressure is under 40 psi you will need to install a reverse osmosis booster pump. Most persons water pressures are in between though. I took off my soap dispenser which I hardy use, and put the faucet in its place. Perfect fit.
The Way It Works
The yellow line is your water supply line into the filtration system. Water will cycle through the 3 filters and into your storage tank from which it draws when you need clean water! The orange line sends filtered water to your holding tank. The blue line is the last line to transport water, on the way to your favorite cup tea cup! I would use this water to drink, cook and make hot coffee. The main faucet line that is there i still have for water that i would draw that I don't plan on consuming. The reverse osmosis system filters the water 3 times before it comes out of your faucet. Many micro contaminants are filtered out with this system. An interesting side note : Chlorine filtration will occur with this system, however it will cause the membrane on the filter to wear out much faster. What does that tell you about chlorine? Should it be in our water at all? What do you think? Do you think the water treatment plants should treat drinking water with it? I hope everyone will consider improving their water quality, as it is essential to quality life. I am in no way affiliated with the product. I just shared it because I am affiliated with YOU, and I care about you...so I made this article to share my blessing with you. I hope it helps. As a day trader, I need a sound body and a healthy mind. I would never short my water as fast as I would short Facebook shares these days!
