Incredible sight
This morning I saw the frightened face of the Austrian athlete that got caught with a blood transfusion, literally "redhanded", in my newsfeed. I was baffled, because I really thought that these crazy wild-west and life threatening actions were a thing of the past. It also has a something pathetical. The guy gets caught in the act, but can't run away, because he is in the middle of a blood transfusion. So he has to stay there and face the camera. I almost felt sorry for him. But then again, I think, he is cheating, don't feel sorry for him.

Are we wired to cheat?
Then I ask myself, is it in our genes to try and cheat our way into glory? It has happened so much in all of sports history, people doping themselves, sometimes in a very dangerous way, just to get that little bit extra that can make them win a title, a championship or a new, big contract.
In a broader perspective, everybody cheats in life sometimes. Tax evasion, speeding, exam fraud, ... etc...
We must be hardwired, to try and find the easiest way to get to something we need or want. That is the only explanation I can think of... Not?
Sincerely,

What's wrong with a blood transfusion?💁
Well, as a professional athlete, you are not allowed to use any "foreign" blood, or even your own blood for a transfusion, especially not before a competition. That gives you an advantage to other athletes, which is doping! Those are the rules, I did not invent them...
Pretty shady and very dangerous, athletes have died because they used blood that wasn't cooled well or just was not their blood type, and it is performance enhancing, so...
We are hardwired, the easy way is , like the name says, the easy way, and most people don't want to make the effort to achieve more, they take the easiest way out... Cheating in school, cheating at work, plagiarizing texts and posts, cheating on sports... The problem is that people who cheat will never get that sense of accomplishment that one gets from doing things the right way, and if someone achieves something without cheating the ones that actually cheat call them a cheater! I've had this happen to me in the gym... people that consume steroids and tell me I'm the one that takes them!
