Hi Steemians! today I want to share my passion for slacklining with the community.
The first time I saw people slacklining was at this beautiful beach of Ipanema.
I was walking to my job and there were some guys slacklining over the sand. I was really bad at my first try and it wasn't until I got back to live in Venezuela when I bought my first slackline and began to train. I wasn't able to slack much, because I lived far away from the beach and the sport wasn't allowed to be performed in parks.
When I came to Barcelona I got a new slackline from a local store and I have been using the same brand for more than a year. It is a 30 meters long slackline and it cost me around 30 euros with the protections for the trees. My favorite place to train is near the beach.
The negative thing about Barcelona is that there are no palm trees over the sand on the beach, but there are a lot of parks that can be used for slacklining. "La ciutadella" is a very popular park for practising it.
After some months of practice I learned to walk, jump, do yoga positions and make jumps. It requires concentration and perseverance, but the most important thing I recommend is to have fun while doing it!
I want to invite anyone that is coming to Barcelona to contact me and try this amazing sport!
