Do you know what I did one time? I went as far to source for knowledge to know what is happening. There are so many things that look very small. Non-attracting but the money and profit in it just too much. There was this neighbour of mine just like a mother to me. She sells bread. One day She travelled. I decided to stay in the shop for her since I have nithing doing. I started learning and seeing things. People in my area were all looking at me. "is this boy Ok?. An undergraduate in his 4th year helping someone to sell bread with all the school he has gone to?.

I woke up early as possible, take my bath, dress neatly as if am going to work. leave home as if I want to go and resume a bank work but I was actually going to the woman's shop to help her sell bread. It looks very stupid and somehow. What I was doing wasn't clear to people, it sounded very stupid to people. They never knew I have my intentions of going there to learn one or two things. What I was doing wasn't known and cleared to people, but it was clear to me. While selling the bread, can you believe that sometimes, I make more than N10,000 a day which is equivalent to 8.69SBDs perday. I said wow! SO this business is this ok!. I could remember a day, I sold alomst N15,000. Imagine a woman that wasn't that educated , just sitting down, selling bread and making bread and making almost N10,000 a day which is almost N70,000 a week. Estimate that in a month. I was surprised. She was seeing what a graduate is seeing in a month in just a week, she was seeing what a graduate who thinks he is nig is seeing within a month just in a week.

Wise up. All you do is to complain that there is no work, there is no money, there is no capital. I need a big capital to start; starting something nowadays require huge sum of money. Lots of ungenuine excuses. When will this stop? when will this last? Is it when your equals are busy doing big things that you will start making moves? As if that is not enough. During my period of hekoing her to stay in the shop, there was this man supplying me bread on behalf of this woman. I was being supplied 3 kind of sliced bread and out of these three, I discovered that there was this one, people prefer and admire most. People usually will rush this bread very well. People prefer it than others. I now sat dow and watched and reasoned why?. Do you know what I discovered? The supplier of this bread use a fine designed pack (nylon bag) for its bread. People did not bother to know what the inside contained. The packaging has drawn them closer. The nylon has drawn their attention. Can you see where initiative, innovation, uniqueness and customer attention comes in place?

How about you, what have you done? what have you brought forth?. The supplier or maker of this bread has two different kind of bread. One is a slice bread while the other one is like burger, four of it is packed inside a nylon and tie together this which cost #100, 2 of it for #50 and one of it for #30. Some people stop buying the normal straight bread and started buying the one that looks like a burger. Some that cannot afford the N50 bought the one of N30.

Some people have not tasted this bread before but they got attracted to it. The supplier of this bread packaged this bread in a nice designed nylon. This alone took took and caught people's attention. You can't compare it with that of others who use normal white nylon. Many people have not tasted it but they were enticed by it. That is packaging. To my greatest surprise, there was also this bread by another known supplier which is already known in the market but people still preferred the other one with a fine designed nylon. Can you see? What are your excuses? what are you waiting for? The world is waiting for that special thing in you. They are waiting for that idea in you. During my stay there I got to know a lot of things. there was this woman also who sells provisions, candies in wholesales to retailers. I was fortunate to help her count her money one day. Can you belive , she sells more than N200,000 a day? Just in a day! I heard she is already building her house. Most progress start gradually. If she has waited by now she would have still be on her complain. There was yet another woman also opposite the woman selling bread, selling fruits. people rush almost all the time. Ask me why, she is the only one selling fruits in the area. You can't get fruits anywhere else except from her.

There was this last woman again selling akara (beans cake), yam and potato. She fries it both in the morning and in the evening. The woman is already through with the building of her house in the village. Tow of her children are in the higer institution. One in a private university. I just keep wondering why even the so called graduate can't afford to send their childre to higher institutions. If people that are not educated can sit down to think of what they can do to better their lives than waiting for the government or anyone.What about you who is educated, who has gone through many teaching and training in life?

A graduate who cannot afford to do something to keep moving in life is just like a person who has never gone to school because there is nothing to show for all his year of studying in school. If you have any idea, don't wait long on it. Make move about it and don't procrastinate it. There are many books which talks about small scale business that you can start with small capital.
