Besides a commitment to blogging on Steemit, I had no real New Year resolutions. I don't believe in them. Most people fail to follow through and I'm no exception. Making a real lifestyle change is incredibly difficult, especially on your own. I feel like blogging on Steemit is something I can do because of the community aspect. I know there are thousands of people sharing and doing their thing here and being a part of that can be very good. The monetary reward helps to build momentum and every dollar earned here is a dollar I don't have to earn with my time outside the community.
25 hours in a day
With that said, I do have another resolution if you want to call it that. I need to make time. One place I can do that is in the morning. I can get myself out of bed just one hour earlier and it's like adding a 25th hour to the day. That one hour can make the difference between reaching some goals or standing still.
We are almost a week into the new year. I have set my alarm an hour earlier every day and my snooze is set for nine minutes. After the usual 2 rounds of hitting the snooze button I've managed to drag myself out of bed. Some of my extra time has been used up to allow myself to wake up. It's nice to ease into the day. I get a glass of water and pet my cats while looking out the window. I do some light stretches then get ready for the day.
After that's all done I am into my usual routine about 30 minutes sooner and I've noticed the added benefit of more productivity. I can't account for it, but things seem to be getting down.
I can recommend it to anyone looking for more productivity going into 2018.
