Hi Guys on Travelfeed!
In chapter 2 we introduced ourselves as two individuals but in this chapter we would like to give you an insight in why and how we are doing what we are doing as a couple.
We already told you that we are quitting our jobs and sold our house. This might be an easy thing to say, but actually following through with these plans is quite another...
I believe that for anyone doing this, one time or another some type of doubt kicks in, a natural thing when doing things outside of your comfort zone. The so called "Terror barrier of Life" is something we personally found out to be quite hard sometimes.
As an example: when we we’re trying to sell our house we found out that due to the economic recession of the last couple of years the house prices had dropped significantly compared to the price we paid when we bought our house about 5 years ago. This meant that we had to sell our home at quite a loss...
Nobody likes to see their money evaporate and the doubt of if we were making the right choice had struck our minds.
Money is important in this life and we work hard for every penny. But is this money and the safety of a full time job a reason to stop exploring the possibilities that this life has to offer? We think not.
So we quit thinking about all the things that might or might not happen and just did it. Four months later we sold our house and this was our first step in overcoming our biggest "Terror Barrier".
Off course you have to think about these things with common sense but try not to let your fears stop you from doing things you really like to do.
The most important thing that we keep in mind is that we are going to live our life's the way that it makes us happy.
What's the point of working really hard and trying to play safe all the time if you cannot enjoy it? Not that we aren't enjoying our life at the moment but we truly believe there's always room for improvement.
*Please let us know what you are doing to improve your life and maybe you can inspire us and others as well! *

Hi Ourlifestory,
thankyou for looking at my new post. I'm new on steemit also.
Your sold home looks great. Great for your achievements with the minimalist lifestyle. It's how I live also. Having too much "stuff" is too exhausting.
Kind Regards,
Simone (Australia)
