Putin's deification, as the propaganda myth of foreign media - a psychological-historical analysis

in #life7 years ago (edited)

My analysis will be simple, in good examples...

When foreigners quite seriously ask the question: "Is there a deification of Putin by the majority of the population in Russia?" - I can only laugh. There are many reasons for this, but the main thing is that I respect high professionalism in any field of psychological knowledge. So much to deceive the population of Western countries by propaganda is super! So...

The Russian classic Leo Tolstoy has a fable called "The Liar":

"The boy guarded the sheep, he became bored and, as if seeing a wolf, he began to call:" Help, wolf, Wolf! "

The adult men of the village came running and saw: it was not true. So joked the boy two or three more times, and then it happened - indeed the wolf ran.

The boy began to shout: "Here, here, soon, a wolf!"

But adult men thought that the boy was deceiving again - they did not listen to him and did not come.

The wolf sees, there is nothing to be afraid: he has killed the whole herd."

Please, correlate this parable with the story of the last rulers of Russia described below and you will understand that Putin's deification is even theoretically impossible.

After the overthrow of the tsar in 1917, in a young Soviet country, a substitution of the object of faith occurred: instead of God and a good king - a fiery revolutionary and a wise ruler, V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin. Many Russian people believed and ... the country drowned in a fratricidal civil war. In the USSR, the cult of Lenin was formally continued until the end of the 1980s: from elementary school children wore badges depicting Lenin. His embalmed body still lies in the mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow.

After Lenin's death he was replaced by IVDzhugiashvili, more known to the whole world as Stalin (the years of the reign of 1924-1953). The deification of the leader of the country reached its apogee and ... the country was again drowned in the blood of repression (1935-1939) and World War II (1939-1945)

With the extraordinary leader of the USSR NS Khrushchev, a struggle began with the "cult of personality" - in every family remembered those who were repressed or died in war. Still alive were war veterans and political prisoners who returned from places of detention. Tens of millions of people were killed and camps of the Gulag. In each family, almost at the genetic level, there was already a psychotrauma and fear associated with deification of the leaders of their country.

And although this ideologically bright period did not last long (1953-1964), the subsequent reign of Leonid Brezhnev in 1964-1982 did not lead to the deification of the personality of the head of state. On the contrary, Soviet people have already composed anecdotes and parodies about their leadership.

The next state leader, Mikhail Gorbachov, was already provoking open humor among Russians. And Boris N. Yeltsin already amused the whole world with his behavior.

Indisputably, Vladimir Putin has done and is doing a lot for Russia. Compared with all past rulers of Russians - he is a unique person. But even if he started walking on the water and resurrecting the dead - Russians will not believe in the divine nature and will not create a cult of the head of state, this is an axiom. And in the Russian Orthodox Church, the name of the saints is reckoned only 100 years after death.

Conclusion: Only those people who have not yet passed the historical vaccination with the "cult of personality" can believe in the deity of their leaders and the truthfulness of the media.

Sort:

Putin is great man indeed. I remember few years back, after Ukraine everyone was jumping on the russophobia band wagon. I thought gooosh.
The propaganda of the western world is so flat. Still with the Olympics so much BS happened and the bashing is still ongoing.

Thank you for your message!
This is the fear projection - the fear that the entire population of the world will see that their leaders next to Putin are worthless. In fact, all foreigners much more deify Putin than the Russians. Russians live in a country that still has many problems and no illusions.
