Prepare For the Great American Eclipse - August 21st, 2017

As many of you are aware on August 21st here in the United States we have the rare opportunity to view a total solar eclipse.The last time a total eclipse crossed the USA was in 1979. So, for many this may be a once in a lifetime to witness the event.

 The eclipse will start in the morning in Oregon and work its way eastward across the country. The path of the eclipse will be about 70 miles wide for totality and last approximately 2:40 in each location. If you live outside the 70 mile wide path you still get to see tSpace.com he eclipse, but for shorter durations as you move away from the path. Even if you don't get to see it live in person there are going to be live feeds available on the internet as well. In fact CNN will have a VR view of the eclipse available at their Virtual Reality News Site 

If you are lucky enough make sure you take precautions when viewing as directly staring tat the sun before and after it takes place can cause serious damage to your eyes. There are many different devices available. If you visit Space.com they have an excellent section on how to be safe viewing the eclipse
