I love your perspective on the issue, but I definitely want to include everyone in the value chain and not just the experts.
To me, most experts only believe in data and that is dangerous. They only see charts and documents while sitting in the comfort of their offices. If this socio-political issue must be resolved, include everyone who contribute in the value chain.
As for myself, I always re-instate that I am not against 'synthetic' fertilizers but only on the dependence in super crops that requires high input of water, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, etc.
My standpoint is not on solving hunger with super crops, but with diversity and sustainability—but that might be too illogical for experts or maybe leftist with people politicizing food security.
