It was reported that nine people were killed and five were wounded in a military attack on a church in Hilvan, the capital of Egypt, south of Cairo.
In a written statement made by the Ministry of Health, "In the terrorist attack on the Church of Mar Mina in Hilvan, 9 of the Coptic were killed and 5 were wounded," as well as an attacker.
Egyptian official news agency MENA based on a senior official from the Ministry of Interior reported that the police forces in charge of protecting the church continued to work in the region to respond to attacking attackers, to kill one of the attackers, and to capture the other attackers who escaped.
On the other hand, in a written statement made by the Egyptian Orthodox Church, "Mar Mina in Hilvan is dead and wounded in the armed attack on the Coptic Orthodox Church".
The statement also noted that a Chechen armed attack took place in the al-Malachi district of Hilvan, and two people were killed in the incident.
