Stop pretending we don't hate.

As human beings, It is absolutely normal to feel a bunch of emotions in the curse of our life.

Without emotions we'll end up just being a giant group of robots. A meaningless group of flesh and bones just going around, fullfilling a function as if we were only machines... and nothing else.

Feelings are normal and we all know that, and we all know that we need them as a fuel to continue the way we live, to have a purpose, to be creative and, indeed, create new things as well.

Being happy
and plenty
and mature enough to understand that mixture of feelings you have gone through your entire life.

You end up knowing that, as well there're beautiful and postive emotions, there're also a couple (Or let's face the truth, they're like A LOT) of negatives emotions that we all have felt in certain times in our lifetime, but we all deny some of them for some reason.

We know we can feel happiness and MOST of us (That if you're not agree with being a kind of emotional masochist) love that sensation... Oh, wait! I just said something very very important;

Love.

Yes, that word. All of us adore being in love. We all love loving love (haha, you're hillarious Roxana), things, people.

Happiness and love are like food for our souls, and even If you say you're so cold, you still wouldn't be able to live without loving or try to find a way to be plenty, and happy.

We all get to accept that even sadness, depression or being hopeless could be useful, in some way, to teaching you that real lifes has challenges.

We get to know that we need sadness to recognize true happiness. That sometimes we need to be heart-broken to find the meaning of true love, or self-love... or love itself!

That we must feel anger sometimes to understand how to overcome those challenges, to learn how to find calm and peace.

So... why some people deny hate?

Hate. The opposite of love.
Just like sadness to happiness.

We all understand when one of us love someone, something, somewhere. And It is OK. Isn't It? Well, what if we say the same about hate?

And yeah, i mean true hate. The kind of hate you can't hide beneath other feelings as anger, contempt or dislike.

We use to put excuses like "Oh, It's just that hate is a really strong and hurtful word!"

So... D'you rather hide the true, even if that could be good or if it wouldn't cause any real damage for non-hurting someone else sensibility? Woah.

The problem about hate Is that since we're a kids, people teach us that feeling negative stuff toward someone or something else is bad. Obviously, It is worse when we talk about persons than objets.

But. It is really that bad? I mean, hatin someone else?

Just as we take 'love' serious, we should respect hate as well.

We tend to associate hate with being racist, non-tolerant, pessimist and blah blah, and in some way IT IS TRUE

But the problem of hating is not the person, the place or the things you hate, It's the reason that generate that hate.

For example, If you hate someone for, i don't know, being asian. Ok, It is racist, It is bad, you hate him because a non-valid reason but... at the end of the day that is how you feel and we must tolerate It as just probably must tolerate the lots of asian migrans.

Hating someone because Is a bad person, in the other side, is valid. So why you can't just admit It?

If a person hurts you really bad, If someone tries to ruin your life or the life of somebody you love, if someone cause damage, If that person is a terrorist, a criminal, even If THAT person didn't damage you but you dislike the things that person did, why we shouldn't hate him/her?

Feeling hate for a brand, a product, a movie, a band. isn't bad as well. You feel something more than just a simply contempt for It, It is normal.

For example, I hate the band Oasis, I HATE IT. I could like a couple of songs and the general idea of the band but I don't like them.

I hate blind people who doesn't understand the damage that migrants had cause when It comes about terrorist attacks (NotAlllMigrants)

Same as I just hate the people who claims that killing animals for religious rituals is ok and must be respected.

I hate some people who had abused of some friend.

Same as I simply hate people because they hurt me.

And no, feeling hate doesn't mean that you will end killing everyone like in a Columbine Massacre, or that you will ending up as a serial killer or a dictator.

And wait, that could happen as well. But remember, you can do a lot of crazy, mean, bad stuff because of hate, but you can commit crimes as well because of love.

Being hatesick or lovesick... That IS an issue.

Hating something? Hmn, nope.

Hating is the same as loving, they could be the opposite sides of each others but the mechanism of both feelings in particular is exactly the same, you're putting the most big amount of attetion as possible toward a certain thing, but love is positive and hate... well, we know, negative.

This post is not a letter who claims we should spread hate just as we spread lovd, this is not a law that claims we should be haters.

This is just my way to take what I dislike about some kind of passive-agressive behavior in the society that tries to normalize hipocrisy without knowing.

I'm not mean to use hate as a weapon to hurt anybody, I want people to realize that feeling negative stuff is valid as well.

We are humans, stop pretending we can't be mean sometimes, stop pretending that feeling hate will just fill your heart in with a black dough of evil as many people say.

Accept your feeligs, act with maturity, and just let them flow and feel them.

Peace ✌🏼

Really interesting post. You have some good ideas here, and it's true that the word "hate" is really frowned upon. It IS a strong word...but so is "love." Identifying emotions is not something that everyone is great at, but I think you nailed this one.
