When poverty becomes 'normal' to a person there is no incentive to remember details that mean nothing to the person's well-being and life situation in general. Surely, judging the less fortunate as being mentally ill or with any other deficiency is just another way for the fortunate to compare and boost their own ego without having to resort to empathy or other uncomfortable aspects of having conscience. Let's face it, psychopaths dont care as long as they can have mc turd burger in a ferrari, mess with that and see what happens lol.
