Ever since I started, I just let them come to me. Sure, I'm still out there mingling from time to time. Usually just to crack a few jokes, never expecting anyone to follow me. The best meals are prepared slowly. If you want fast food, you're eating the consequences. I do feel bad for those who focused so much energy in acquiring a blind following, the ones who won't see your work. I did my best to speak openly about the consequences on many occasions, so I at least know I tried to help with the right advice... but of course, the struggle is real, and those who could have used the knowledge failed to look. Too busy trying to get noticed, to notice.
Don't worry though. If you're here to blog, then stay, blog. Your rewards will come once your seats gradually begin to fill. I am proof this entire system works. Besides, you folks today just starting out are earning one hell of a lot more than we ever were months ago. If the value drops and money disappears, stay, blog away, you'll still earn Steem, then the value will spike and you'll be in the same boat as me. It's a long term time investment, but if you don't have time, don't bother.
I like the analogy of the fast food :) Yes, I guess patience is a virtue, especially here and I'm seeing it as a long term investment too. Thanks again, really appreciate you taking your time sharing your experiences.
