Changing the world

Today I read something that effected me on a profound level and I'd like to share it with you,

"Travel the world. And then change it for the better. Go with love. Go with motivation."

As a person who discovers the most happiness when experiencing new things in new places, I am truly satisfied when I travel. Unfortunately, this quote was paired with heart breaking photos and a sad look at the world we live in. Beaches all over the world on all different continents polluted with trash. We have done this to our own planet. So we must be the ones to fix it. Pollution and overall degradation of the ecosystems caused by humans have already had devastating effects. Some of these effects, such as extinction of animals, conversion of land to developments, etc, can not be reversed unfortunately. But that doesn't mean we should sit back and watch everything else go to shit.

I try to live every single day as the best version of myself. Leaving the world a better place than when I woke up that morning. This can be done by simply smiling at the strangers you pass by on the street or picking up the water bottle on the ground that someone else left behind. Just because you didn't cause the problem doesn't mean you don't need to be the one to fix it! Eventually all these problems we categorize as "not our problem" will become everyone's problem!

Where ever you go, what ever you do, do it with love, and do it with motivation to be the change you wish to see in the world. Together we can reverse some of the damage we have done to Mother Earth, but that starts as us as individuals striving towards higher standards, and eventually we will collectively reach higher standards on all sorts of different fields.
