Raise your hand if you've ever found yourself in a situation where someone by you or in your group was doing something bad, their own thing though and you felt like you had to intervene but then someone halted you and said to not mind the trouble causer and that it wasn't any part of your concern. I faced many such situations when I was in Senior high School and I decided send across some warning of some sort whiles trying to get less physically involved as possible.

And So I pose this question, when there's someone in your neighborhood environment is causing problems; and that someone can be a friend, a foe a family member or a total stranger, should you really leave them be so they'll have to pay for their offense and learn from that
I'd share a short story about a tortoise and a bird I read sometime back in primary school. It was a short story in one of the many English Grammar books they made us buy. Short stories like that always had a lesson to them.

So the Bird had it nest perched in a tree where it lived above the tortoise who lived at the bottom of the tree. It was a tree situated deep inside the forest and the only people who would get that deep into the forest where hunters. It was a bright beautiful and lovely morning that the bird decided to grace the whole forest with it's singing. It was pleasant to listen to of course but then it was also causing noise which raked through the forest. The tortoise who was concerned about the bird's noise asked him to stop because it could attract hunters. The egoistic bird ignored the tortoises advice and just kept on singing louder and louder as time went on. The tortoise decided to leave the bird to do his thing and face the music if there's any. It was the tortoise who first noticed the approaching Hunter but decided not to inform the bird so the hunter would catch the bird and save him from any future nuisance or danger. The tortoise's wish did come true as the hunter spotted the bird and gunned him down. However, there was a silver lining or lemme say the hunter was in great luck. The bid fell to the ground right by the tortoise, and even though we all know how speedy tortoises can get, unfortunately wasn't able to leave the crime scene in time and the hunter took both him and the dead bird and placed them in his sack while thanking his stars for shooting one and getting one free.

At this moment it's clear what the lesson of the story is right?
You friends problem is also your problem even if it's not directly involved with you. You don't have to necessarily interfere in people's lives or actions but then remember that no matter how minute their actions may seem it might have an effect on you.
Last 2010 prior to the African Cup Competitions held in Angola Togo were involved in a fatal attack by terrorists and the single actions of these individuals caused the whole country to be banned from consequent two competitions. Also, anytime a teacher passed by our class and it was noisy, they'd punish the whole class mostly without caring to find out those involved in the rowdiness.
So try to talk someone out their deeds if you see that it's going to bring harm. You might just be saving a whole group

We live in a i dont care world and this especially in most developing countries is the cause of our inability to develop. Sometimes we turn a blunt eye over the ills of our society and this act of ignorance has cost us alot. It is time we avoid the blame shifting and look at how in unity we can resolve societal problems. Some will rather watch you fail than help you make it because they are not the originators of the whole idea. They will rather wish you support their ideas .We reject solutions to problems because we deem those give the advise not worh listening to.Thanks for enlightening us.

I realised that it's that i don't care nature that kills us at our core without us even realising it.Since the pieces makes the whole and the pieces are now rotten from within then it means that the whole is dying then. I'm honored to be selected as the winner for wafrica post of the day.
Do what you can do to help in any situation. Don't underestimate the power of persuasion. Yes, we don't want to be involved in any trouble but look at the bigger picture. In this world of selfie, we have become selfish. We should raise the awareness that it is not about us but for everybody's sake. The blame game will always be in the end when it is too late.

The blame game; I hate it the most when we've just encountered a predicament and then all people care to do is point hands instead of trying to find a solution and then i'd just get so furious. Nice to see you around man.
Kindness goes a long way.
