A weekend to catch up on life.

I don't know about anybody else here but Christmas is far from a break in this house. Between the build up to the big event, the busy days involved and the food/drink/people hangover it flies by and you come out the other end just as tired as you went into it.

There is a lot to be said for quiet weekends with no plans, no people and nothing that you have to do. I'm looking forward to this one since it's the first bit of peace we will have had in over a month.

We have two small kids so it's not a case of lying on the couch all weekend watching movies and having a takeaway but the few bits that we will do aren't stressful and will be good for us.

Healthy mind, healthy body.

This is so true.

I've found it very hard to get to sleep over the past few weeks as we have so much going on in life and with an upcoming wedding on our calendar to plan as well that it seems like we always have something that needs our attention.

We're still going to do a few small jobs but nothing that involves phone calls or emails or bookings. Maybe just address some invites or work on the playlist.

Fun jobs if there is such a thing.

Once the kids are in bed obviously as nothing gets done while those little pests are running around the place like a herd of wild animals.

Speaking of animals we will bring them to the local pet farm tomorrow morning. We were busy over the holidays and the fresh air is good for all of us so it's a win-win.

Nothing says happiness to me more than a pet farm filled with mini goats. They might even have some baby ones at this time of year but watching them just makes me happy. Such funny little animals and so cute.

There are also a few good matches to watch over the weekend too if i can time it right.

Munster V Saracens in the Heineken cup.
Arsenal V Man United in the FA cup.

Definitely worth a watch for those two games.

Other than that it's a chance to rest my head and do a few small bits around the house, ready for another busy week. Preparation is half the battle so getting well rested, happy and prepared makes for a much better week in my books.

Good health is maintained by getting enough sleep, rest and exercise. You went to the goat farm. This can be done in the afternoon to keep your mind fresh.
