Are you making tomorrow's lunch for your kids? Do they seem to drag in the afternoon, or is that when, like my son, they tend to have more disruptive behavior? If you answered yes to any of these questions, grab a post-it and jot down a note.
Noooo...not a note from this post...jot down a note to your kid. Put it in their lunch bag. Make it something witty or cute. Draw something funny on it. Anything to let them know you care, and something to show them your personal side. Don't tell them to behave in the afternoon. You probably already tell them that, and that just plants a negative seed for the afternoon. My son's reactions when he comes home are funny!
