Start actually creating something with your knowledge

I find the best way to learn any scripting or programming language is to create a mid-sized script or program with it - actually solving a problem, creating a solution to a problem in the scripting or programming language I am learning and building my skill in.

Theory and Practice Combined

I approach the learning process with a ratio of 30% theory 70% hands-on experience, actually bashing the keyboard, typing away like nuts and creating a mid-sized script or program solution to a problem.

Integration happens through actually DOING; Knowledge in Application

It's the same with trying to resolve personal problems and experiences we go through throughout our life: Best way to find a solution is to DO FACE the problem and be determined and dedicated to understand it and equally determined and dedicated to find or create a solution using whatever practical tool we have at a moment in our life, be it writing and keeping a journal, or breathing and meditation, calming ourselves so we don't act in emotion which can create quite unexpected long term consequences, as well as other tools at our disposal.

Just thinking about solutions or the problem, trying to understand it that way will lead nowhere - just like only reading about Bash Scripting, Rails programming or C++ programming will leave us only with additional theory knowledge floating around in our heads but will not create the actual skill of having the ability to actually create something using that programming language.

We need to DO to Create!
