A piece of paradise on Earth is not a "bounty", not a sunny beach with white sand. A piece of heaven is where the home is.
Ho-o-ome. For me, even the word is warm, viscous, sweet. Like thick hot chocolate. Ho-o-o-ome.
A house is not just a place. This is the portal to the space of miracles.
The energy is restored at home by itself, the soul wants to sing at home, everything is native, sweet and dear to the heart.
The house can respond to care. If you love it, then stepping over the threshold, you will hear it's greeting and the invitation to stay here longer.
And no matter how good it was to visiting your beloved parents, friends, a hotel, a tent in nature, your home can not be replaced.
I always want to return to my house.
And when you come back, you feel relieved. It's a miracle that you are expected. It's a miracle that you have your own islet of happiness.
My house did not find me right away. I lived in several places, but nowhere and never I felt myself as real as I am right now.
And maybe the whole point is, what are we investing in and how much effort do we make for this? It turned out that no. It's like love at first sight, I felt comfortable here as soon as I came. I felt that it's mine.
It's great to be in your own place one day. This is my paradise...

Exactly @nearbird nowhere feels as real,comforting or an extension of yourself. Any other place even with friendly familiar faces would be alien to a person who has managed to turn an apartment,a house into a home

What a beautifully written sentiment! I have been contemplating my own life lately and trying to determine whether or not I want to pull up stakes to move somewhere else closer to my family. My thought is that a home is where you feel safe and where you want to go back to at the end of the day. If the world is beating you up a little bit, a home should be a place of calm and serenity where you can go to rest and recharge your batteries. I haven't felt yet what you described of knowing immediately that your home was meant for you. I guess I should keep looking! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You know what @nearbird? I believe home is an extension of ourselves. It is ourselves carved out in a physical representation. No matter what manner of pleasure away from t feels, the purest feeling of security and serenity hangs at nowhere but home.

the farther away the legs are, the more times the longing is so bounce, 'homesick, want to go home' is just a line that is always buzzing in this head, repeatedly tirelessly. Like a movie, the memory of the house appears fragmentary, making the nostalgic savings grow. Although there is always a less than home, but the warm always carried away to far.
I think that any person should have a place where he feels protected. A place where you want to return. Cozy and beloved home is wonderful! :)
