The shimmy is a very popular move when we're talking about Raks Sharki dance, (or bellydance) today I'm going to share with you some tips to get this done in a very relaxed and beautiful way, I garantee you will get better by using this advices, not only at Shimmies, but when isolating any move in dance.
This is a 'Knee Shimmy', the technique you use to make that hips bounce is by moving your knees.
This is a recount of the items I explain in the video, I hope you like this content, it take me years to sintetize this important things, and you can apply this tips to any new dance movement you want to achieve.
1. Be sure that your posture is correct
2. Be honest with the tempo your able to try
3. Always try to be relaxed
4. Do specific excercises that helps you improve the movement
5. Don't give up! Constancy pays off
