As an area located on the west coast of Sumatra, Aceh is surrounded by long coastlines. One of the beaches that deserve a tourist destination Sahabat Sporto if being in Aceh is Ujong Batee Beach.
Ujong Batee Beach is located in Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar District, Nanggroe Aceh Darusallam Province. Located approximately 17 kilometers east of Banda Aceh, this beach can be reached within 20 minutes by private vehicle.
Ujong Batee Beach is on the coast of Aceh Besar in the northeast. Visiting this beach, Sahabat Sporto will get a calm atmosphere of calmness, accompanied by the beauty of the sea Strait of Malacca. In the Aceh language, "Ujong Batee" means the edge of the stone. This name is given because the beach is in a wedge by rocks and from this beach visitors can see Weh Island like a boulder located at the end of the ocean.
Ujung Batee Beach tends to be crowded in the morning, and its gentle waves roll over each other but relatively quietly, making it a favorite place of choice for parents to bring their children to swim here.
This beach has a wide coastline. This beach is also very suitable to visit Sahabat Sporto who want to feel the peace and bustle of the city. The sea breeze that accompanied the rushing waves. This beach is an ideal place for hunters of tranquility. The lush pine trees along the beach make the atmosphere more calm.
Some say the blackish-colored sand on this beach has medical properties. The Ujong Batee Beach Sands is believed to be used for bone disease and paralysis therapy. In addition, soaking the body to the neck with warm sand in the belief can make the body becomes fresh.
After the tsunami, this beach became a bit unique. When Sahabat Sporto walk towards the sea, the longer it will be deeper. But, on this beach, there are parts where when walking toward the sea, the shallower the water it. This indirectly indicates that the coast is abrasion, gradual but definite erosion.
To go to Ujong Batee Beach can use private vehicle or public transportation majors Kruen Raya. The route simply follows Jalan T Nyak Arief and turn left when it reaches Simpang Mesra and then take it to Krueng Raya until it finds a pamphlet that reads Ujong Batee Beach Tour.
On the way to this beach, Sahabat Sporto can see the fortress Indra Parta which is one of the heritage fort. In addition, the scenery along the way is also beautiful, not crowded and polluted.
