An ex-colleague posted an invite on her Facebook page to friends to help her harvest her fruit trees and greens from her backyard. She has more than she needed and welcome anyone to pick and take home tropical fruit such as bananas, starfruit and papaya.
I am so impressed with her mini starfruit trees. The fruit look so plump and green. Unlike the regular starfruit that really look star-shaped, these miniature starfruit look nothing like stars. These are also more acidic, sour and richly flavoured.
She also has lots of herbs and root vegetables growing in her garden. I would love to visit her as our last reunion was about five years ago. However, she now lives a great distance away and I could not find anyone willing to make the trip with me.
