Discovering your lifes calling is one of the hardest things to do..but when you do life will never be the same.

10 years, 32 jobs and alot of ups and downs is what it took for me to find my lifes calling. I travelled the globe, said yes to opportunity and just kept moving forward.

But here is the thing. When alot of people leave school/university...most people end up asking one question.

What do I do now?

Our wiser selves will say over the time we are on this planet "I wish I knew that back when I was 20 years old" I'm sure regardless of your age you have said that. But, that is the thing...we don't know...until we know.

So, how do you answer that question "What do I do now?".

The answer I am sure is not the same for every person out there. But, there will be some who this may help who maybe overwhelmed by the prospect of opportunity.

  1. First step. Let go of the expectation you need to be able to answer this question. You don't and that is fine. When I left school I had no clue what I wanted to do, it was an incredible journey to find what I wanted to do. But it came with experience.
  2. Two, but I hear you say...I can't get the job I want! Thats fine! Get the job you can! Every job you get will help you learn, teach you new skills, how to interact with people and grow as a person. It is crucial that you understand that no job is ever below you....it will keep your feet firmly where they need to be on the ground.
  3. Try things, try lots of things...get out there, travel and get involved in the world. You will not work out your lifes mission sitting in front of the computer. It will happen existing, interacting and being present in each moment in the real world.
  4. There is a saying play the hand you were given. Not the one you wish you were...or something along those lines. Live by this.
  5. Last but not least, drop your comparisons immediately. Never compare what you have or don't have to someone else, it is wasted energy. It is lost energy that you could be doing something positive and helpful with.

Everyone has their own path, everyone is an individual. Remember it and make the most of your individual qualities. Your path maybe revealed in a year, a month, a day or maybe even 10 years. Either way its not a race....
