Firstly, let us take a look at what perseverance mean. I would define this as the power to stick to something until it is completed. Perseverance indeed is a major key factor when it comes to succeeding in life and achieving your goals and you know the best part? The bible has something to say about it.
Hello and welcome to my blog today. I trust that you had a great day? I certainly did too. Today we would be looking at Perseverance and reasons why we should incorporate this attribute into our personal lives. Hopefully, I hope you learn one or two things from this particular post and move forward to implementing them in your life
“Let us run the race that is before us and never give up”- HEBREWS 12:1 NCV
Like it has already been said earlier, perseverance is the ability to stay glued to a particular task or chain of actions till the very end of it. Without having the spirit of perseverance it would be really hard or difficult to get to where we wish to get to in life despite your talent, skills, intelligence or personal charm. The only way to get to the finish line is to remain focused, persistent and determined.
We can also say perseverance is the act of refusing to become distracted or weighed down by the bumps and hurdles on our journey. It entails discarding the discouraging circumstances, negative opinions and comments of others.
Benjamin Franklin once said
“Energy and persistence conquer all things”
We were all created by God for a purpose. Each man has a purpose or role to play on earth and God actually wants the best for us. He wants us to succeed. He has promised to renew our strengths whenever we call on him. He has always been with us since the beginning of the journey and He isn’t going anywhere to the end of the journey. He wants us to persevere and that, we must do.
“You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and received what he has promised” - HEBREW 10:36 NCV
The truth is that nobody in the history of achieving great things ever achieved anything great without persevering. There is no journey to greatness that doesn’t have great hurdles. Sometimes the greater the dream - the greater the obstacles. After all, if it was that easy, others would have done it.
In conclusion, having persistence and perseverance in spite of all the obstacles, discouragement and impossibilities will definitely separate the weak from the strong in this race. It is okay to finally add that all great works ever done was done not by strength alone but by great perseverance. Keep persevering and come on top.
Nice post.
