REINTRODUCTION: A SHORT LIST OF TOPICS YOU CAN EXPECT IN THE NEAR FUTURE FROM ME

in #life7 years ago (edited)

“I experienced a devastating loss of self...But in the same moment, I also recognized that a profound commitment had taken root inside me, and it was beautiful. I felt a duty that ran deeper than any I had known before. I had lost my old self, but in return it felt like I gained a life imbued with new meaning.”
― Judith Warner,

As an introduction for myself, I have decided to describe the type of topics that are not only interesting to me, but also have a profound impact on my daily life. Candid, but not perfect publications is what I offer, and a sort of cognizance that I may hope to give value.

Perspective is seemingly all we have, but to reach out, and attempt to experience anothers? It can be revolutionary. I for one, constantly need to be reminded and removed from myself, in order to value the wisdom that all life holds.

The following will be a list of items I intend to divulge into with my own, as well as others experiences, things I have learned, journaled and explored. (Please comment any interest you may have on these topics so that I know if there is a particular interest!)

  1. Motherhood

First and foremost, you may find that my life is dominated by my maternal duties. There is much to be said about the many things involved with this role. Such as:

  • Parenting peacefully
  • Co-parenting
  • Pregnancy and Birth
  • Single Parenting
  • Home schooling (Un-schooling)
  • PTSD
  • Etc.

This is the area in which I have much to say, from only 6 years of personal experience as a parent, and a lifetime of experience of being constructed into an adult.
No parent is perfect, and we all learn a lot from trial and error. This in mind, I'd love to give you a glimpse of the things I have learned along the way. After all, we all have our own experiences to go off of, but sometimes I find the value in learning that someone else may know exactly how I feel or what I'm dealing with. And that's a glorious feeling to a mother, as motherhood can seem slightly lonely.

2 . Philosophy

Much like most people, I have lived a life of pain and happiness, fortune and loss, life and death, freedom and slavery, good and bad decisions, faith and abandonment. My particular experiences may have been similar to someone who is struggling, or has struggled with. Sometimes it's nice knowing that you are not alone, or to know that there is a way to overcome. These are the things that help us sometimes.

Spirituality, for me, falls under this category. If not philosophy, then it becomes a predominant force I'm trying to sell you. Nothing is being sold here, just the love to explore inside, and beyond the human psyche. The constant search for one's true self summarizes every search we indulge in. But, let's not get into that yet!

This subject will include my journey's to other worlds (or the psychological depths of myself, however you choose to look at it), otherwise known as a practice of shamanic journeying. The journey that requires no hallucinogens, only the peaceful beating of a drum, concentration, and a certain breathing pattern that helps me concentrate. Mix those things with some direction and intentions, you will have a powerful experience. This will be in a series from beginning to the never ending.

3 . Astrology

"Men at some time are masters of their fates: The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings."
—Cassius in Julius Caesar

That being said, my interest lies within the nature vs. nurture of this subject. After much deliberation, I have found that there is much to be taken into account on the influence that certain things have in our lives, and it has been a fun experiment for me to note the possible impact, consequence, and importance the stars may (or may not) hold. You be the judge. This is a fun thing for me, but I also find the metaphorical aspect in it all.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for stopping in and checking me out, I hope you'll come by again, or if you feel compelled, please feel free to hit the follow button and share some of that steemin love!!
