If you didn't know J.M Smucker Co. the company that makes Smucker's Jam, owns: Folgers, Jif, Pillsbury, Hungry Jack, Dunkin Donuts, and many other companies for all kinds of human food, is currently holding a "voluntary" recall of their dog food. Testing has found that some batches of dog food contain an unacceptable level of Pentobarbital, a drug used to euthanize animals, and if you need a definition for "euthanize", "it's to kill something with as minimal suffering as possible". Many dogs are becoming sick, and some have already died. The company's stance is that the amount of the drug found in their dog foods is minimal and is small enough that it should not cause any issues with pets. The Food and Drug Administration(FDA) has concluded in the past that any amount of substances that are harmful to humans and animals unacceptable. What will they rule this time? Are any human products affected? I love my Penut butter and Jelly Sandwiches :(

Dog food that may be affected by the recall from 2016 to now :
Kibbles n' Bits
Gravy Train
Ol' Roy
Skippy

27 animal products are manufactured by J.M Smuckers, but only 18 are on the J.M. Smuckers recall list. The FDA is will be testing 27 products to see if they are affected. J.M Smuckers still has not released a full list of items affected.
