A LESSON FROM A GREAT MAN..
Yow Whaaaaaaat's up guys? its your boy again @mjp and I'm here again to talk about my life experiences that I've learned from my father and that I applied to my daughter. Being a father is not an easy task, since I was a child my father isn't their to be with me in our school activities since my father is working abroad and can't easily attend like family day, intramural's or even in my graduations and I was so jealous that my friends have their father on their side and I don't really understand why my father can't just leave work just to attend my graduations. Usually me and my brother are together when school events are involved and I always look up for my brother because im 8 years older than him.
My father isn't very expressive on his thoughts and emotion to me and my brother, usually the both of us are scared specially when my father comes back to the Philippines because a lot of things would change like waking up 5am in the morning just to clean the house, cooking if everyone is busy and a lot of household chores , and for us its so tiring being a child you really always wanna play the whole day whether its video games, basketball or other outdoor games.
Hardest time of my life..
So one day at my 3rd year college days I was at my friends birthday party, and was so drunk. Because it was 3am in the morning and I have classes 10am in the morning I decided to go home and drive my Toyota Vios. While driving, I was in a hurry so I hit the accelerator and reach the speed of 120 km/h(kilometers per hour) without hesitation overtaken a taxi and so surprised that a man was crossing the road at that time when the taxi slowed down. So i literally run through him and was so scared that I might have killed someone. Although it was not in my intention to run through him, I run away then got home and told her what happened. So she has no idea how to fix the problem cause for sure it involves money and connections so she called my father from abroad and told the whole story of what happened to me. So 5 hours after my mother told my father about what happened my father called my phone and I was so scared that my father might scolded me and scared that i might go to prison because of what I've done to that person, So i decided to pick up the phone and the first word I heared from my father is " Son are you okey?". Personally I was not expecting that from my father because my father was not open with his emotion and thoughts and the next words that he told me were "everythings gonna be okey, your not going to jail and we will find ways." . So the next day a Police went to the house and was looking for me and my mother talk to him and the family of the man that I run through and made a settlement and the rest is history.
Lessons that I've learned from my Father..
- So the lessons that I have learned from my father as a father is that always look up to your family no matter what the situation is, no matter how big the problem is always look up to your family. Because in times of hardship, loneliness and you think you are lost, the only thing that would be at your back and be the one who would help is not your friends but your family.
- Always spend time with your family. When I was a child I thought that doing the household chores was so hard but as i grow older and get a little bit matured I realized that doing the household chores was not the main reason of doing that activity but it is the bond that the whole family is doing it. Its like doing a family every sunday, because sunday is just the day the my whole family will be gathered together, so its the only day that we will be bonding.
- Always aim for higher goals in life. My father when he was just a child lived in a very small house composed of 8 people on it and was not expecting what he achieved today. He was just a farmer in a small town of siquijor and because of his ambition well we lived in a comfortable life. And just to be honest with you guys my father is a very great provider.
- Our parents are not perfect, so respect them even if they're wrong. Sometimes our parents are wrong so if ever they are wrong don't argue with them but just tell them that they are wrong and if they insist give them time to think.
- Always capture the precious memories because life is to short, we may never know what would happen tomorrow.
Me as a Father today..
Well today I'm still in my quest as a father and as a great provider to my own family. My daughter and my wife are my inspiration, because of them I am motivated to be a good father, husband, engineer and a business man. Striving everyday to earn some cash, bid some projects to get some contracts and look up for some business opportunity to build on. Just to provide the wants and need of my own family, thanks to my father he showed everything to me to become a great father.
This blog is dedicated to my father. I know he misses his granddaughter today because he went abroad again and the both of them are close to each other.

A very good read sir. Although a grew up without parents to properly guide me, I am thankful for them because they are the reason why I am here in the first place. That's why, even though I was not guided by them, I don't hold a grudge against them which is really a good thing to do because of the feeling of happiness has a heavier emotion than being angry at them.
I hope you will have a good life with you and your daughter, @mjp! :D

Nice one big guy @mjp! Our parents really aren't perfect, no one is. And that's okay. You will never have nothing because you always have family. Everyone in a person's life may come and go, but only family remains. ❤
