The americans and dutch collaborated on a multi-national multi-year investigation. They actually closed both AB and Hansa and got all of the high command. They were incredibly tight lipped about their methods and the scope of the investigation, but one thing was for sure and they wanted everybody to know: they not only nailed those guys they also nailed some big time vendors who had carelessly left some footprints, and planned to go after absolutely everybody they could from tiger to mouse.

Oh right, I think they even took out Alpha first then waited for the vendors to move to Hansa which had been compromised for a while. That move was pretty impressive, glad I lost the patience for Tor a couple months prior.
