I haven't bought any new fish for a number of years. We lost one goldfish earlier this year and that prompted me to want to get the new (old) project finally finished. I put those fish in the pond when they were 3 to 4 inches and we've extended and deepened the pond a few times over the years.

Yes, they're pets. I love watching them and even when they die, they're not for eating! :)
