I won’t pretend that I have the secret to success. But I know something: Perseverance is vital. The path to success is personal. Besides, everyone has its own definition of what it is. People will try to discourage you. Critics will flow, especially when you follow an unusual path. Don’t get mad at them. People are scared of the unknown. But fear is a very limiting emotion. On the other hand, Love is empowering, and opens the door to a lot of miracles. Do what you love! Act with your heart, and be good, very good at what you do.
In this process, there is almost always a “good” companion: it’s Failure. When some people see failures as a reason to give up, others see it as an opportunity to improve, an opportunity to learn and grow. Do you really think that Steve Jobs accomplished so many revolutionary things without any failure? One of the famous quotes that I prefer is from Thomas Edison (who developed the practical electric light bulb). He said: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10000 ways that won’t work”. And so it is. You can adjust your strategy (according to Albert Einstein, trying the same thing again and again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity). Be bold with your end goal, and flexible with your methods. Take a break if you feel lost, tired or confused. Take a nap, go for a walk. But no matter what, never give up on your dreams.
