I think the card itself is a bank account card, the app allows you to deposit BTC, XRP & LTC. You can then transfer them to your card.
I used it in store because they do cryptoback - a rewards type money back thing of 0.5% on your purchases :0)

Depends where you are. It was free in the UK. You should check out their website
