That is a hilarious song and when I was listening to it (I hadn't heard it before) It made me realise that some British comedians have ripped it off as they did a big skit about eight or so years ago about being the only gay in the village and some of the stuff they joked about was so similar to the lines in the song and I am thinking, They bloody saw this and stolen it!

I was still in high school when I saw them touring with the BareNaked Ladies. So .. sometime between 1988 and 1993.
I thought that as musicians, they were surprisingly talented - but they focussed on the comedy aspect. (which was ho-hum in my opinion)
I bet they inspired those ones I was talking about.
I haven't been to a gig in ages., I need to get my finger out!
