The best tips on body language (5 minutes that can change your life)

in #life8 years ago

People tend to look at the face to try and figure out what the other person is thinking. A natural instinct since it is the face is the most expressive part of our body and where the eyes can be found… the windows to the soul. While all of that is true, it is worth mentioning that the face is the area used to deceive. Hence the expression “Poker face”. Most people when lying will focus on their facial expressions.

You want to see what a person is thinking?…. don’t look at the top ( the face) but rather look low ( the feet)

The feet are the most honest part of our bodies.

Feet are what connect us to the soil/ earth. Ever since our ancestors erected their bodies and took their hands of the ground, the feet have been our way of self transportation. If you are walking in the woods and you fell some danger the feet will be the first thing to act upon it: freeze, run or fight... that was true back then and it is true now. Completely ingrained in our limbic brain.

If you start observing how the feet work around you ,you will start to notice quite a lot, but here are few tips:

For example,

The direction the feet are pointing when someone is standing up. When that person starts walking and you will see it going in that direction.

If the feet get partially of the ground it means the person wants to leave.

If facing someone, the person’s feet are pointing towards you, it means that he has you in his cool list.

If you are giving some news and his feet are bouncing and then you give another particular piece of information and they stop doing it, it means that he was liking what he was listening to and did not so for the second part.

If you are trying to seduce a girl and she is moving her feet in the air … she likes you.

And so on… the feet can tell you a lot of the people around you.

Another very important part of our body is the torso.

The torso protects our most vital organs (other than the brain)

People tend to put some object in front of it when they fell slightly uncomfortable.

If a person has the torso towards you she is ok with your personality.

If someone sees you and just turns his neck to say “hello” then he might not think the world of you.

Feet and torso two parts of the human anatomy rarely used to deduce what someone is thinking, but that are in fact the most relevant ones.

And so here you go… some quick and powerful tips on body language that you can start using now.
