07.49

Another dreary day in Dorking.

Another day to repent my sins.

Another chance to redeem.

11.59

We may have finished the job but I can't feel my hands or feet. It's was so cold in the building today.

19.38

I fell asleep again. I just feel awful. I'm sure it's still recovery. Work again tomorrow. This time in Windsor. Hopefully, it'll be fast.

07.48

Another beautiful day. Another Shitty network.

All these small publication houses are the same.

They present their work beautifully but their offices are like orifices.

10.31

Time for a little high street stroll and grab a coffee. There's quite a few homeless. If you're gonna beg, go where the money is!!

Anyway. Coffee Coffee Coffee!

Shifty as fuck!

20.01

More website adjustments. I think I'll just have to accept that what I want to see and what I'm going to see are going to be different. I know I could learn how to do it if I wanted. In fact, I used to know how to do it. I just want to create the stuff. Not present stuff.

On a happier note, I've just eaten BBQ pulled pork, spicy wedges and coleslaw. Then, apple crumble with luxury custard. Stuffed.com.

12.28

Yep. It's definitely Sunday.

Chores and bores and pints of Guinness in the pub. Sunday roast and making the most.

I feel slightly more rested and normal now.

Almost back to my old, twisted, self.

I think I'm ready to start plotting my own demise again.

21.27

Goals have been achieved and gins have been drunk. Work is secured for the next few days, so everything is peachy. I'm still having massive website problems but you can't win 'em all I suppose.

Luckily, Die Hard 2: Die Harder is on. Maclane will always put your life in perspective for you. He does the first 25 minutes wearing the worst jumper in the world and still manages to smoke some fags, have a drink and fuck some blokes up!

I found a funny little ditty I'd recorded so I chucked a quick video on it.

07.39

Uxbridge today.

No ones really sure where exactly. The job location that is.

We are parked up, roughly where we think we are supposed to be.

08.43

Standing in the freezing cold. Waiting to get in the building. We received the delivery so we have to wait with it. My hands are cold, that's for sure![](https://www.markperandin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/20180108_084625-011697982003.jpeg)

09.16

I can feel my hands again. I only got told off once by the site manager. At least, it's warm.

Strange how all these places look the same🤔

11.01

We still haven't actually done any work yet but we have been site inducted, been shopping and wandered around town.

Old School. I like it!

16.01

We managed to get almost half the required workload done before we left.

Pretty good going considering we didn't start until midday.

PS. I'm home(obviously!)

PPS. I feel better.

I feel your pain in the cold. Roll on the summer

Im with you man! Whe the M-51 parka goes back in the cupboard and the denim jacket comes out. Life will look a lot rosier.

Oh god yes. Saw a glimmer of sunshine today. Not exactly enough to break out the factor 50 though

Yeah. The sun is not the problem. Its the 9 miles of icy air between us and it!

Reminds me of my old days as telecom contractor visiting exchanges and running cable all day. You made it all so poetic. So glad i'm out of the game though.

I'm 15 years "in-trade" now. I love the flexibility of it and the constant change of location. It's a lot tougher now though. Health and safety has gone mad and margins are tight.

yeah it was like that as I was leaving BT. I left the game around 4 years ago, left BT in 2010 and contracted for a few years. Tight margins and expecting robotic production levels.

You have your own company then? You should use your expertise to build your own linux server farm. if you haven't already!

Loved your blog and the way you have highlighted things are so awesome ❤️
