RE: Googly-Eyed Google and Your Other Thought Masters

in #life4 years ago

I have been thinking about the topic. People have views, however, their views are molded by the sources they use to feed themselves. People think they are free, but the reality is that their minds are manipulated. This is true even if they are smart. What matters most? If you think Obama is corrupt or an angel? or if your actions generate smiles or trauma?

Every year I unplug these things and go away. Every time I come back, I find it easier to see myself being fed thoughts, so it becomes easier to leave the information with my original thoughts still intact.

Becoming a content creator has taught me a lot. Where some people only see the smiling talking head or hear the alarming tone of voice, I see someone putting their game face on, acting, and I'm seeing all of the material edited out in between takes. I sense the sensationalism in the written word whereas before, in the past, I realize now, I was only seeing the surface.

We're all influences in a sense and it takes great responsibility. Our opinions don't make us experts but our material appears and sounds professional; good enough to captivate an audience. From there we have complete control over minds. Mainstream media has known and been experts for decades. Alternative media and independent sources know (if they're good at what they do) but often pretend they're not attempting to manipulate the minds. The big monster does that. They are innocent.
