Imagine you have a dancing toy in your hand , what would you do? you might probably enjoy for some time , play it around in all possible ways you could. Once done, What if it cant be detached from your hand, and you don't know how to stop its play??
It starts playing back with you(Makes you Miserable, Isn't it)
Same case with our mind, we know how to play with it but do not hold its Private key.It makes pointless the fact"knowing how to play" unless u cant login or hold the account to reap the benefits.
To be more precise, if I ask you to speak for 1 hr , you can go on to speak for more than an hour because we were trained to do so from our childhood, but if i ask you to hold on without out a "thought" and be conscious for 15mins. How many of us could go till 15th min?
97% fails. The point to be "thoughtless" itself creates N number of thoughts. If not please test yourself.
What would I get if I am thoughtless?
- Peace of Mind.
- Could explore other dimensions of life.
Thoughts are very powerful tough they were only one of the sensory door. But due to lack of Mastery,we unconsciously empowered them and they became our Master. Mastery of Mind helps you to have control on your thoughts without getting empowered on you. When you gain control, you can reduce the self talk or even make it to negligible. Off course self talk was the one which has ruined our entire life without letting us being in the present moment. I would give a separate post on the self talk in later point of time.
Why do we need to Master the Mind?
Mind Mastery was not to be thoughtless. It helps to understand the fact that, Mind is only one of the part in our life to make use of,whenever necessary. Our mind is same like our computer screen, we can use it whenever we would like to and switch it off when we don't, consciously. If you could master the mind you can hold the on/off button , else it takes over your control and makes you miserable and you spend the whole life on finding the button in the wrong place.
If you could Master the Mind, you could master anything.
Can Mind Mastery make me happy forever?
Offcourse why not, if you hold the Source code and you were certified in coding,Don't you code the way you want?
Happiness doesnt have a limit, Can be mined as much as you can. Do not make it limit by throwing it inside the boundaries of mind
Well, then tell me how to master my mind?
To master your mind, there might be different ways that you might have learnt or heard off but Meditation was the most effective one. I would suggest you to try Vipassana Meditation, one of the ancient techniques rediscovered by self enlightened one, Buddha the Gauthama. It is very practical in nature, and one has to experience themself to understand the technique.
When one trains their mind, to look at the things as they really are, by mere observation without reacting, one can attain a state of Unconditional Joy irrespective of external and internal factors. They would come out of their boundaries that “I” has created and nothing could stop the Joy that comes within.
Vipassana Retreat:
Fortunately, Vipassana Meditation technique was currently available in its original form and was taught by S.N. Goenka. It in an 10 day course (free of cost,donations accepted) available in many countries and one has to stay within the meditation center through out the course. Though the conditions that they provided would look like difficult initially,but everything was structured for a reason. You can see the complete details and register yourself in www.dhamma.org . Booking is available through out the year , you can choose your slot anytime for one calendar year from current date.
It is a scientific way to remove all the durt from our mind and purifies to its original state. The discourse contains two techniques,
Anapana – Meditation technique to master your mind.
Vipassana – Meditation technique to remove dust from your mind which helps to come out of Misery and to Fullfill the Joy within.
I have gone through the course in Chennai,India and I would recommend to everyone as it has the centers across the world. to atleast try before you decide if it works out for you or not. 10 days in the entire life was not a big deal and who knows it can be life changer (as it happened to me), so why not give a try.
