Have you noticed that the coach of every sport team has been a major driving force in the success and legacy of the team? Have you ever wondered why coaches have enjoyed such a prominent role in sports?
Both players and coaches come and go, however coaches contribute more to teams than players. Here are four reasons why coaches are priceless!
1. Brings the best out in players
As a leader, the coach will have the time to study the strength and weakness of every player, he or she would also the experience to decide where a player would best fit and what measures would be required to help them improve.
2. Stuffing the human resource
At the end of every season, teams have to adapt and re-organize their human resource(players) according to the team's mission for the coming season.
Coaches decide who comes and who goes in a team, this task is difficult since it requires experience and courage.
3. Serve as motivator
Some people think their bad moments are when their favorite teams lose at the finals of a league. However have you ever considered the disappointment felt by the teams which never even qualified?
There is nothing as terrible as not being able to qualify for a league. While fans believe they have been let down by their teams for losing at the finals, its only due to the remorse they feel when they see their friends who supported the winning team.
Whoever, if the simple shame of seeing a friend whose team won has such a depressive effect on fans, how depressing them must it be for the teams and players who have let down their brand, reputations, sponsors, families and millions of fans!
This is the very reason why we see players crying in pitches, despite being captured on tv for million of people to see. Yep, you see players who are worth million of dollars and have been so successful actually cry on tv.
How do you think they get over this trauma of failing their nation, millions of fans around the world and their sponsors? The coaches.
Psychologist help but they only come and go. Coaches are the ones who motivate them to keep on going every single day throughout the entire season!
4. Empower the team players
Leadership can be a very daunting and challenging task as dealing with human being is very complicated, especially when your are dealing with achieved professional individuals.
Having one dedicated figure who is responsible for the welfare, development and management of the team and all its players makes this work simpler.
Team players know their welfare and development is in the hands of a capable figure, that makes things easier for the players.
The next time your favorite team loses, do not be quick to judge the coach. Remember, coaching is difficult.

What do you think? Let's talk in the comments!
I agree. Coaches are often the most valuable asset on the team. Every team needs direction and a birds eye view with an eye on the long term goals. In the midst of the frenzy of any sport it's hard to step outside of the moment. Coaches are fantastic and keeping the team headed toward the larger goals are keeping them focused on what matters
