Intro: Living in the future = being constantly anxious.
If you're walking down a road and all you can think about is the goal ahead, you will always be anxious to get there and when you're there you won't be able to enjoy it because you don't know how to live in the moment. Whereas at the same time you missed out on the journey.
Developing a habit starts with developing the right energy.
Do you want to start working out?
Reading?
Or maybe cooking?
Don't just picture you doing what you wish to do as that gives you instant (false) sense of accomplishment which keeps you away from actually starting. Instead picture the steps leading to developing this habit.
Finding a nice yoga video or the perfect gym, purchasing a book that excites you, finding an easy to make recipe for a delicious dish...
You are more likely to develop these habits by acknowledging the effort this will take and committing to taking it one step at a time then if you daydream of how good you will look and feel if you started working out, or how smart and knowledgeable you will be if you read, or happy to be cooking your own meals and saving money.
Wake up and smell the energy!
Don't think you will ever force yourself into these habits, if you don't have energy today and have to force yourself and be miserable... chances are you will give up by the 3rd try. Instead, work on yourself to find the energy to actually be lying down and without pressure, get up and work out, read or cook.
That's the person you want to become, not this ribbed, smart cook! Again, these three are just examples taken from what most people want to "start" doing.

Oh there's more where that came from! I just try to make it short and fun for people to truly read it.

Thank you, Alex! I appreciate it and will follow you for more.
I did a similar post on developing a habit. It's a lot easier than most people subconsciously refuse to believe.
Definitely! Sometimes the source of the laziness is a lack of energy and belief! It's good to put a finger on it before starting a drastic change.
I've come up with a daily plan for the month of July to start working out. InshaAllah I can keep it up. I made it super easy, so I wouldn't quit.
