The other day after talking to family(more like listening) about how life used to be and how it has changed I made a quick observation.
Most of the older generations complain about the new advances in technologies, different view on Money (digital vs hard cash) and different lifestyle choices.
I made an observation a few years back which I always remember when family members go down memory lane.
The older generation, from personal anecdotes and being told by others, often look at technology like Amazon's delivery services and online retail in a not so positive way. Whether I'd be not liking new technologies, changes in general or maybe finding new generations lazy, there is a "back in my day" commentary coming from them.
I find it funny some of my family members run a constant commentary about amazon yet they forget the irony when they remember the good days of the Milk man, newspaper boy or the bread man. Apparently receiving the newspaper, milk and bread isn't the same as receiving something from amazon.
It's crazy to think all amazon's concept is made up of is a delivery/convenience service on a much grander scale. There is nothing new to getting things delivered to your house but amazon just updated from newspapers and milk to everything.
That's the post for today, just some observed irony...perhaps just the cycle of life.
Maybe when amazon applies there drone delivery service I'll be saying "back in my day they used to deliver this by trucks"
Very good!!!
