The life expectancy In the United States is 79.25 years, Japan is 85.52 years, Canada is 82.02 years, Mexico is 77.78 years and Australia is 82.38 years.  So lets use an average of eighty years, and see how much free Time we get.

More than likely the first thing you will know how to do is sleep.  Given that you sleeps for 8 hours a night you will sleep for 229,961 hours in your lifetime. Which is 26 years! We are now at fifty-four years of free time out of eighty.

Eating is a necessary part of life that we must do in order to survive. You spend 32,098  hours eating which is three and a half years. That brings us down to forty-six years of free time.

You start school at around the age of 5 and spend around  40,000 hours in school, doing homework and other obligations surrounding school. Thats around four and a half years!  Now we are at fourty-nine and a half years of free time left.

After you finish school you more than likely will get a job. Its our biggest source of income. lets say you work forty hours a week from the age of 20-65 and gets two weeks of vacation every year. you spend 90,360 hours at your job working. equal to 10 years! which brings us down to thirty-six years of free time.

If you star driving at the age of seventeen until you are seventy-eight, you will spend 37,935 hours driving. You will drive around 798,000 miles, which is approximately the distance it takes to drive to the moon more than three times! WOW!! In total you will spend four years driving. We are now at thirty-two years of free time.

If you are a living human you go to the bathroom, its natural. You spend 13,140 hours in the Bathroom  equal to one and a half year. bringing us down to thirty and a half years of free time.

When you need something you go to the store and buy it. You spend 43,800 hours shopping. or five years. We are now at twenty-five and a half years of free Time left.

You spend 70,080 hours cooking, cleaning and doing house work. That's eight years bringing our free time down to seventeen and a half years.

If you retire at the average age of sixty-three you might think thats it. But, 68% of people over the age of sixty-five suffer from some kind of disablement and require long term care. If you do you will spend  52,560 hours in care, which is six years. Our free time is now at eleven and a half years.

So eleven and a half years is what we have to live life how we want.  If, you are young adult you spend around 118,625 hours on your mobile phone,  equal to thirteen and a half years bringing your total down to negative two years. But what if you don't even have a phone, you spend 78,840 hours watching tv. Which is nine years, the total would now be two and a half years

Every second that passes we will never get back. We lose a minute here, an hour there, thinking nothing about it turning in to years.  Sooner or later there will be no time left!  You don't have the time to care what others think you should be doing. In those eleven and a half years, do what you want.  Don't chase your dreams but fulfill them! Live life to the fullest.  You never know when it might be over.
