Virtual reality will take off, and I'm not too excited about it. Once we decide to completely immerse ourselves into a self created world, we lose a large portion of our progressive thinking. Think about it; when everyone is living in a world created by humans, we are limited to whatever world humans are able to create. Virtual reality will never reach the expanse of our universe, so humans existing in that virtual reality will never be able to progress past current progression (virtual reality). In other words, progression will decrease drastically or even stop with the implementation of fully immersive virtual reality.
