You are perpetuating childish, old fashioned, conservative, immature opinions that need to be eradicated. As much as it's obvious Jerry is a bit of his rocker, he's actually 100% right about this. There is nothing wrong with showing the human body, whether it's male or female, especially in a non-sexual context. It's not something to be ashamed of or feel awkward about. You are the one who is associating nakedness with awkwardness because you are thinking in a sexual way about something that is purely non-sexual. There is nothing sexual or awkward about a man holding his baby without a shirt on, this is perfectly natural and something that should be celebrated and in this rare case, Jerry is actually being a very good example for other fathers to follow.
