Gen X vs. Gen Y
While the society has centered its focus on the Generation Y or the Millenials, the once Generation X particularly women are slowly getting attention in their way of redefining themselves. The Millenials are the ones born in the 1980s and early 1990s, whereas the Generation X or the Middle Child of generation individuals are the ones born between 1965 to 1980.
A lot have been mentioned about the characteristics of these two generations, but let me breeze through on them a bit.

Generation Y people are generally described as tech-savvy, family-oriented, goal-oriented, team-oriented, longs for attention and prone to job-hopping. Generation X individuals, on the other hand are independent, technologically proficient, pliable and likes a balanced life and work.

Life is ever-changing. What used to be ‘in’ before may already be outdated now. That’s what makes life becomes exciting because when a new idea comes up and the members of society would like to try or study it, it becomes a ‘thing.’
Perennial Generation
A new word, perennial was coined by a United States internet entrepreneur Gina Pell, 49. She explains, ‘Perennials are ever-blooming, relevant people of all ages who know what’s happening in the world, stay current with technology and have friends of all ages. We get involved, stay curious, mentor others, and are passionate, compassionate, creative, confident, collaborative, global-minded risk takers.’
These perennials refer to women of ages 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond perpetuate an ageless perspective about themselves. They are redefining the traditional image of women such as their mother’s. Their mindset now is upbeat, crisp and vivacious energy towards aging.
Famous women such as Julia Roberts, 49 was chosen by People magazine as the World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2017. Julianne Moore, 56 still personifies glamour. Embodying a charismatic elegance at 64, Brigitte Macron is no other than the wife of France’s president Emmanuel Macron. How about other famous women namely JK Rowling, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Obama?

There is just no stopping and no retreating. Age is just a mindset.
I have seen this happen in my own circle of friends and acquaintance of varying ages. These women get into zumba class twice or thrice a week to lose some weight and get that agility that they want. Some have gone to kickboxing, aerobics class, meditation and yoga class, mountain biking, hiking, instrument playing, pole dancing, ballet dancing, surfing and so on.
Perennials are proving that age must never dictate how their lives should be lived. They validate their power to make life more beautiful, more creative, dynamic and happy!
Perennials take charge; they do not let the society or the media merely dictate upon them who are famously desirable, fiercely strong and wickedly attractive.
In fact, I know other members of the so-called senior citizens have organized among themselves a group of dancers and singers to do entertainment performances during their monthly meeting. How agelessly they are aging! 🙂
Live life.🌈
Treasure life!💗

I loved your post @lemonchum! The title suits perfectly! I am Generation X and I saw a lot of familiarities with the description. About the Perennial Generation, I can tell by what I saw in Rio de Janeiro. The women are super active, they try all the classes as you mentioned too. They don't let age being an obstacle for anything. They are super happy! xx
@marcelli I am delighted you loved it! And thanks for sharing your thoughts. Stay happy!👩💗

@lemonchum. Nice thank you. Just realized that the Alphabet is called such possibly because it is a shortened combination of Alpha & Beta.
