Dear Steemians,

. . .

The first commercial oil well in the world was built in 1840, in Lucăceşti, Bacau county, Romania.

With large oil fields, Romania was the first country to have a petroleum probe.

The first oil well in the world in Romania in 1840!

Gassers used a rudimentary method of oil refining, as was the one used in artisanal boilers to make it!

Until 1860, the major oil exploiters were named fountains, boys or gravesmen, names coming directly from their work.

After 1860, oil exploitation began to require increasing capital, the role of free peasants declined.

Owners of rich oilfields in the counties of Prahova and Dambovita, Romania, have become the main oil suppliers.

Crazy to see how far technology has come. Do you think in 150 years they'll make fun of pictures of our phones and computers? :P

You are right! In 150 years what technology will follow will surpass what we can imagine today! Future generations will have to face these challenges! ...

It's always tough to think what could be even possible to happen next. Like it's unfathomable, yet it will happen. Was just watching a YouTube video today about how by 2045 they're thinking none of us will be working because machines will do 90% of the work.
