on the other side
it's just the angle you're looking at it from.
Yes so many people lament that the things are better for others, they do not understand that all people have ups and downs, health and family issues, jobs they do not like... and the list goes on. They look at it from their own perspective, which ofcourse in on only one side.
The grass (or their life) will always seem to pale in comparison to others... and that angle will never never change for them until they focus on the good in their own life.
Here is the catch, they get caught up in a perceived beauty of green, the surface rather than the whole. If they went to that side,it would always appear different as they look down. They will also see the dirt, the weeds and everything else that makes it now appear less appealing than from their original angle.
We should learn to appreciate all aspects of where we are... and therefore enable us to proceed to a goal, if we never look at where we actually stand, what that is made up of we will never be able to free ourselves to move onward.
A Different Angle
It also never occurs to some that the person on that other side is looking back to their side thinking the exact same thing.
Take a rich man and a poor man as an example (probably what most look as the green anyway).
The poor man looks at the greener grass of the rich man as he has a big house, fancy car, toys of all kinds. He fails to see the liabilities of each, the hard work to obtain and retain them, the stress and personal conflicts arising from the neglect of personal relationship chasing those possessions and keeping them.
The rich man looks at the poor man and sees few possessions, but in turn sees more freedom, flexibility and personal relationships. He sees less stress in a simpler way of life filled with the freedom he does not have.
If both would lose all they had, who would be the biggest loser.
False Promise
We must all realize that there is no perfect life, some just appear so as those folks do not openly complain or lament. If with walked in their shoes and saw the reality, it may be that we see they are different, but also have their own problems, brown grass hidden beneath that color of green.
They may talk and look better off, but is that just BS? For some maybe not, but for others definitely true.
So before you lament another's fortune or greener appearance, understand, you do not understand their real position.
You are the captain of your destiny
And they may not understand that their graas may need more watering to make it as green, but they fail to see they saved a lot of money not watering it.
Appreciate your position, always strive for better and live your life in contentment... if you want more, water your own grass... oh and maybe chuck a new seed or two in.
It's all in how you look at things
Sorry waxing a bit philosophically this morning.

Nice post
Thank you.
Welcome☺
Thanks for the great post @Kyusho! Will be checking out for more quality from you. Followed :)
Great comment, thank you.
Sometimes we seem to fall into a world where we think the grass is greener , I guess we seem to try to find temporary happiness in this world or give a sense of hope until we realize the reality in front of us
I have seen many places, many people, many situations around the world... it is all the same (except unfortunate souls cast into fictitious and malicious war).
It is a pretty sad world
Amazing post @kyusho
Thank you, I hope it helped in some way.
A lot of us need to understand that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Stay on your side and work with what you got. Thanks for sharing this beautiful post ❤️ Loved it
I am glad you found worth in it... it felt good writing it.
It is so easy to fall into this trap. When we look at the state of affairs today it easy to see why. We are sold a false sense of "you need this in order to be like that" through advertising. The saying "keeping up with the Jones' " is a classic example of this. We strive to be like everyone else. Instead of finding ourselves. Ive been there, but as I've grown I have learnt to be happy for everyone and thankful for what I have.
Beautiful post, thank you for sharing.
I believe this is part of the awakening for humanity... we will all soon see the "Programming" we were exposed to.
Agree. As we evolve we are certainly becoming more aware of it.
some really beautiful quotes :)
wonderful to read thanks for sharing
@kyusho
Yeah they sunk in with me as well, hence the post to share them.
Wonderful post @kyusho! I love it! Look at the first photo, that must be a sheep, right? But his head make me think it is a cow :D
Thanks you for your post!
The sheep is what it is and it is so relevant as most people in the world are sheep programmed to act like... well sheep. Mindless entities always searching for greener grass.
Very good and beautiful greenery pictures. @naz722
Glad you enjoyed the pictures.
Very good post and upvote me friends!
Totally agree, how many times have we said things like "This time it will be different... I'm gonna do [school/this job/this relationship/etc] PERFECT!"
and then two weeks go by... and it's back to the same old vibes.
The sheep image says it all.
I am Groot! :D
